WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET

My oldest daughter is a whiz at blogging, actually making money at it, which still blows my mind.  She has been trying to convince me to start a blog since I retired in January of 2019.  After thinking about it I decided to give it a go, because, as I have become fond of saying, "I don't have anything else going on right now".  I have no idea if anyone actually cares what I have to say about anything, but I'm not concerned about that.  I think it will end up being more like a journal/MY opinion site, where I can talk about subjects that interest me and, possibly, create some dialog with others about those subjects.  It could prove to be therapeutic in some ways.  I'm still working on the main topics, however, here are a few that I know will be covered:

1. Bourbon. 

I've become a fan and have amassed a wall full of bottles.  I do not profess to be an expert in any way, but I have become adept at deciding what I like in a bourbon and in a cocktail.

2. Sports.  

Primarily College basketball/football, NHL hockey, motorsports and golf.  I'm not a big NBA or MLB guy, but I do keep track of favorite teams/players in those leagues.  I have a love/hate relationship with the NFL, which may be a topic for later.

3. Current events.  

I watch what is going on the world and wonder....WTF!  I have opinions about people and happenings and I hope to intelligently explain my opinions on things that are going on in the country and in the world.  I have become a fan of trying to hear both sides of a story before making up my mind about something.  I also like having respectful discussions with someone who may have a differing viewpoint, and boy, there is no shortage of those right now, right?

4. Music.  

This probably should be listed first, because doesn't music make everything better?  I will talk about my favorite artists and concerts and I'm always looking for new artists to listen to.  I will warn you....I am a fan of great guitarists!

5. Life.  

After 40+ years in the golf industry, retirement is an adjustment and I am just starting the next chapter.  I hope to share some of the experiences, both good and not so good.  So far it's been nothing but good!
